Isometrics is one of the purest and oldest forms of resistance training proven to dramatically strengthen the human body. Scientific studies have shown that isometric exercise can stimulate the development of new lean muscle tissue in as little as 7 seconds per exercise. That's why isometrics is incorporated into most major floor exercises including Yoga, Pilates, and Martial Arts. Even with conventional weightlifting when you hold the weight stationary in the middle of a rep for a few seconds to get a burn, you're doing isometrics.

Many extraordinary results in muscle size and strength have been achieved in a very short period of time with this type of training. The key to isometrics is that when you direct one muscle against another and apply force, you create the same resistance as lifting weights. Try this Example!
  • Place your hands in front of you at chest level.
  • Press your palms together as hard as you can.
  • Hold the compression to the count of seven.
  • Feel the tension in your Arms, Shoulders, and Chest.
The advantage of Isometrics is that dramatic results can be achieved Anywhere-Anytime. The Isometric elements of Force and Time are equivalent to Weight and Reps at the gym.
